I'm Late... By Judith Wilson
"Please Mom," I whined, I'll never make it on time." She just looked at me and said, "I told you in enough time so you could catch the bus." But as I stood looking pitiful, hopeful, pleading, she changed her mind, gave a big sigh, and got out the keys to the truck. Daddy had left the truck for her that day, even though she couldn't dive a stick shift. "This is the last time I will take you to school," Mom said. "You had better get your act together from now on." As we started, I apologized again and told her I was sorry and that I would be more careful. And as we began the journey, she struggled with the shift and finally got the right gear and we began our journey. As we jerked from one stop sign after another, she struggled with shifting gears and we got to laughing so hard I wasn't sure if it was us shaking the truck or the shifting sequence that was causing the problem. My school books ended up on the floor of the truck several times. She did learn how to drive a stick shift that morning and she did get me to school on time. She never lost her temper with me. She portrayed a true Christian woman. Her actions and her attitude that spring morning spoke so loudly to me that I never forgot. She displayed before me what being a Christian was all about. She was upset, but not out of control. She had a kink in her schedule for the day, but she did not take it out on me. She didn't know how to drive a stick shift -- but she learned that day. An expert? Well, that would come. She was an expert in the task of being a Christian mother. It was one of many times she acted out her faith before me and my sisters, one of those precious memories which does not dim with time. Her faith became my own and her example spoke so clearly that I wanted to live the same kind of Christian example before my own children. Write Judith and let her know your thoughts on her story!

Dear Michael, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the beautiful video you made for me! It was so special to see both of my parents in tears as they watched their children grow up in pictures before their eyes! I loved the way you made Estania's part set aside from the rest--that was the part that really got them! The music was beautiful. My mom kept blubbering, "What song is that?" I don't know how you did such a beautiful job with the video in such a short time. I really appreciate your doing it so quickly. You have a wonderful gift, and I thank God that you are using it to create such sentimental memories. I hope that I can find my niche like that in an area that I love.
